2 words I didn't wanna hear

So I'm 28 weeks today and I had a scare this past weekend...my cervix was effaced and I was 1 cm dilated...i was rushed in an ambulance to the hospital...doctors were pretty much telling me that my baby girl was trying to arrive! But with prayer, support and meds we managed to stop my contractions, my cervix is closed and now I'm.confined to.bedrest! I'm just so scared because now I feel like any movement I make she will try to come again...10 more weeks of bedrest seems like an eternity, has this happened to anyone here before?

i really wouldnt worry too much....seriously...happened to me. three times....26wks, 32wks and 34wks....and i didnt go on bed rest bc i didnt feel like it...my daughter didnt wanna come out by 40wks lol

Yes my baby girl is head down too! I hope I can keep her in there as long as possible too. They gave me the steroid shots too and they told me as far as the baby is concerned she is "rock solid" it wasn't an issue with her its my cervix being weak and having a low tolerance for bh. I'm just hoping for the best! Thanks for sharing your stories ladies! just like MissTesha I hope my baby does the same! :)

At 16wks I had that happen with my son but I had to stay in the hospital until I was 28 wks then went home n was put on bed rest it was tough but I had to do then when it was time for him to come out he was being stubborn lol so I ended up having a c section it's amazing to me how he wanted to come out on his time the wrong time but when it was time for him to come out he wanted to stay in lol

Yeah, I know what you mean, with my first tho I didn't have anything at all, no sickness or anything, just heart burn but this pregnancy is ssssoo different, I feel like I've had everything lol but i think my belly is like stretched to the max and it hurts when i have to get in and out if bed now, like last night my lil boy wouldn't stay asleep for longer than 30 mins and i kept having to give him ghetto Pacifier or bottle, (I think he's going through a growth spurt) but it hurt my belly everytime. I'm ready to have my baby lol and I got the steroids for his lungs, the doc says he should be fine if i have him early but Im trying to keep him in, I just think he's ready, he's been head down for a month or so now and i can feel him pushing down, and my belly hurts like all the time now cuz I'm a ton bigger than I was with my first and now its like stretching and idk how much more it can lol

I know it's so scary! Well at least ur baby has made it longer, im sure u will make it full term. I feel like I don't even know what to feel bc I was having bh and I did not even realize it, so I can't differentiate between that and the real thing, it's so scary, I get so mad when other women complain about little.things like nausea or mood swings, there's worst things than that, but I can't take my frustration out on the rest I just want a normal pregnancy like everyone else

At 29 weeks I had a similar experience, my cervix was dilating it was at 1.5 and it was not, but not effaced, they gave me Meds but it didn't fully stop my contractions, but they sent me home, since then, like every week I had been having more contractions but the doc said not to worry, then I went to the hospital on a Friday and by that following Tuesday when I went again, I was already 50%, I was 31 weeks then, I'm 33+2 now, my next appt is Wednesday, I had my first at 36 weeks, the doc thinks I will have this one before then but idk, I have contractions and really bad cramps everyday, and I don't really have bh, there the real ones cuz I can time em and everything, they just end up stopping, its gotten to the point I don't know when to go to the hospital now lol cuz i went one time when they were 3 mins apart for over a hour and it wasn't changing my cervix so they sent me home.
