21+ weeks, no movement for 2 days

Hi girls.....Like the subject says...I'm 21 weeks, 2 days today and have felt very little to no movement for almost 2 days now....No cramps, no bleeding, nothing other than me being paranoid......Is this normal do you think?  I've been poking at him and he's not cooperating.  We have a rented doppler but I can't tell if I'm picking up my heartbeat or his!  UGH!

Kelly with regards to the fetal doppler, your heart beat is slower. I have been telling everyone this week that one heart beat is twin 1 and my heart beat is twin two!!! I have just listened again and sometimes I get two sets of galloping horses so that must be them both. What I did notice was that if I'm on my back, my belly moves slightly with my own heart beat so you could watch the movement and the heart beat your listening to and see if they are the same.

Also listen at top of your chest and you'll hear your own heartbeat much clearer so you can compare.

The third thing you can do is count the number of beats in ten seconds and multiple by 6 to see if the rates are different.

Hope this helps. I know you felt him now but this might help in the future.

Thanks for all of the encouraging responses.......All day yesterday DH and I worked on the nursery, so like LACh1 mentioned......probably just put him to sleep.....Then we went to dinner tonight and I had a small iced tea (bad me, I know...LOL), and that got him moving......YAY!  I'm just a nervous wreck over everything it seems!  Thanks ladies!

Kelly

I wrote in with the same problem a couple fo weeks ago and got lots of reasuring responses, try not to worry my doc said babies are just like us, they have up and down days and sometimes just feel plain lazy.  If you are very busy and moving around alot it might lull him to sleep.  Somtimes it is not until i lie down at night or while my toddler is sleeping that i will feel my little one, other times he is kicking all over the place.  I think it depends on what you are doing and maybe what you are eating or drinking.  It is not until 28 weeks that my doc said to start the kick count so relax and enjoy the down time beofre the real punces start to roll lol.

I am 22 + weeks and I went a couple of weeks feeling my little one move all the time and then the past week I can go a whole day w/out feeling him.  It scares me too, but it is normal.

they say drink a small glass of coca cola and and if you do not feel him move after that, then call the doctor.

Thanks!  I'm just paranoid after a M/C in Dec....and he's been pretty active for the past several weeks so it freaked me out when all of a sudden I felt nothing!  That doppler reads like 170 on the display screen, but it's not accurate.....I count with my watch and get around 80-90, which I'm sure is mine!  That things bugs me!  LOL!  Thanks for the info. It makes me feel better!

It's normal to not feel much movement for days at a time around 21 weeks. I didn't feel my son moving regularly til about 26weeks. And Even now at 34weeks I'll go 2-3days barely feeling him!

my OBGYN said it's normal. :) If your really worried, go see your OBGYN, and usually if it's baby's hearbeat it'll be around 130-150bpm. Yours will be around 90-110bpm a min.
