sounds like a normal blood clot to me!! GOod luck
When I m/c'd, I tested a week after my period was due (so I would have been 5 weeks) and I got a negative test. I never tested again because I didn't think I ws pregnant. Well then 3 weeks later I was in the ER for cramping and bleeding with a positive pregnancy test and nothing on the u/s. I ended up passing the tissue 2 days later. The tissue was about 3-4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. I think the tissue would have been more than just your fingertip size, however I'm sure everyone is different. If your cycle has already been messed up it is possible that your body is just expelling excess stuff because you did miss a period. I don't know, you should get a positive test if you are inded pregnant, because the day after i passed the tissue my hcg was 150, which a home pregnancy test would have picked up. I don't know what else to say if you always had negative tests. Hopefully you can get some answers.
Thanks, but my usual clots are blood clots and i always get excruciating pain during a period with a heavy blood flow. But this tissue was pink and white with a little blood and was the size of the tip of my middle finger. I have also been reading that some woman DON'T know they have had a miscarriage and there are not always signs just the usual feeling of cramsp during a period, also if the sac is empty you would not get a positive test and it could take weeks for the embryo to leave your body.
If i had been pregnant i would now have been between 6 and 10 weeks. I know it doesn't sound possible but this tissue is highly unusual for me as i have NEVER had this before.
I am waiting on NHS24 calling me back to see what it was and my mum is also a nurse so i will ask her when she finishes her shift also thanks anyway for your comments
Sounds normal from pill and period...doesn't sound like a miscarriage. Good luck!
Well, you do shed tissue when you have your period. And, you are on the pill now, so your body is adjusting. To be honest with you, I don't think that you had a miscarriage. A pregnancy test would have showed a positive, and for there to be "tissue" you would have had to be at least 6 weeks into the pregnancy. I miscarried during my 6th week, and trust me... it was not a comfortable thing. You would have known if you miscarried. There is an excessive amount of bleeding and incredible pain and cramping that occurs. It is pretty difficult to distinguish tissue from clots when a miscarriage occurs, so I think that your body was just ridding normal uterine tissue during your period. Good luck with TTC... I think that your body is just adjusting to the additional hormones that are being introduced via the birth control :)
