Thank you ladies! I tried calling the nurse at my hospital but they take forever and a day to answer! So I did my research and apparently Robitusin is good to suppress the coughing, clear the chest, and help with the stuffy nose. I also got Tylenol Sinus, just in case, to prevent a sinus infection. I just got everything last night. I slept a whole lot better; I still got up every 2.5 hours, but I guess that's better than no sleep! Haha.
I've had a really healthy pregnancy so far. Actually my husband has had strep throat, the flu, and pneumonia while I've been pregnant! I took care of him every single time and never got sick! Now we're on "vacation" and here I am! =(
u should deffinately always call your doctor to find out what is safe for you. all pregnancies are different for different people. my doctor said it was ok to use nose spray and tylenol cold (severe) now that were further along. but i usually took half a dose jjust to be safe.also took benadryl, which didn't help much
You should either call your doctor or consult a pharmacist - I've had numerous colds during my pregnancy, the latest one being a couple of weeks ago (I'm 36 weeks), and, generally speaking, now that you're in the third trimester, you'll be able to take a lot more. I had a lot of sinus pain (my entire left jaw hurt) and I was afraid of developing a sinus infection, and a pharmacist told me that I could take over the counter sinus meds - I bought a generic version of Tylenol Sinus.
Hope this helps....and that you feel better soon! :-)
