31.5 weeks and stomach pain

Hi ladies.

I hope no one thinks I am a hypochondriac, but I have been having pains in my belly for a few days now. I have also had the flu for about a week.. The Dr. said he thinks it is flu related not baby related, but I am telling you, it is painful. It is almost like REALLY bad gas pain that doesnt go away.. I am starting to get concerned b.c I am feeling much better from the flu, but still have this lingering belly ache...It hurts to stand up even *kind-of* straight..  Oh, and when I went to the Dr. Tues., he made me feel like a baby.. I have just had sooo many issues with this pregnancy, I have NO idea what is normal and what isnt.. I am confused.. Is this just normal "growing" pains associated with pregnancy? Or should I be concerned?

I am trying to find a new doctor if I'm pregnant, and I will be one of "those" patients.  My last Doctor was too inhuman.  I need someone with more heart.

I Know.. It's all good as long as Jaxson is healthy, I am just over it (pregnancy and all the problems..).. I will call my Dr. again tomorrow if it doesnt go away by then.. I will have then given it 72 MORE hours since last time I was there.. I am persistent but I dont want to be one of "those" patients, you know?! =P

Maybe with your growing uterus, some organ inside your abdomen got shoved up in a weird position and is causing some pain.  Who knows ...maybe you even popped a rib!

Sometimes Dr's are just looking for the quick and easy answers.  But you have to keep pushing them when option A doesn't work ...then they go to option B and that doesn't work either ...until they find the option that is correct.  Don't be afraid to make him keep going until you find out what's causing you this pain!  That's what we're paying them for, isn't it??

And lastly, I'm sorry this pregnancy is giving you so much trouble!!  But not too much longer and you'll be holding Jaxson in your arms!!  =D  Yay!

I initially thought it was a pulled muscle too as did the Dr., but I have been using a heating pad for 2 days and have tried the epsom bath.. Nada.. Still there and still wicked painful.. Ugh.

Thanks for responsing though Mumita!!!!!! =)

You might have pulled a muscle or you might just have gas...Ginger Ale?
I don't know what you can do about a pulled muscle.  Try taking a bath with Epson salt, two cups of it.  It really helps for muscle issues and its good while pregnant to do epson salt baths.  It costs a total of $1.50 at the drug store.
