for us stay at home mothers

There should be a way to make some sort of income when we choose to raise our children and be active in their lives, rather than being forced to dump financial responsibility on our S.O.'s shoulders or having to miss out on vital parts of our childs lives to return to a job. Even a $50/wk income.. lol oh the dreams I dream. But seriously, money is a horrible stress during pregnancy and i hate that I feel like its better off for my baby to give it up to adoption because I barely have the income for us, but with how much mothers get paid to do an adoption, after id done it id be well enough off to have my child without these worries.... make sense?

Hi everyone -

Let's keep this nice and supportive. We try very hard to be a safe place for moms-to-be to get info and support, and we can't do either well if members are judging others.

However anyone ends up pregnant (intentionally or unplanned) doesn't matter. Everyone is here for the same reason.

Thanks mommas :) I sell crochet crafts on the side. But $8 here and 20 $ there seems so meager compared to the cost of living. I know it will get better, but hearing bf break down on the phone to his mom over how I have to stitch up all our hole-y clothes and eat pbjs til I can work again broke my heart :(

Why don't try getting at work at home job like in customer service? Major credit cards are always hiring! And the first person that answer was completely rude!

Some people physically can't work Harribee...Im getting knee surgery as soon as I have my child so I can't work.  So ignorant.
It's tough. My fiance goes to college and work everyday.  Bills pile up, but we'll be ok.
You can make it momma. Have faith. Everything will be ok.

That was rude harbee. I also cannot work because my pregnancy is "high risk" i have been wondering too what i can do at home because my babys daddy tells his family "i dont do **** with my life" if i could work i really would i havent worked in about 4 months. Since i found out. If you think of something let me know.

Thats what we will end up doing @liz_zoey, once my baby is born and I can get a job. But til then we have to let one bill or another slide once in a very rare while. Ive never been this long without a job and its bugging the hell out of me that im not contributing.

Dont give up ur blessing u can do it its gonna be hard but not impossible. There are so many ways to do stuff at home. Like make bows, hats, all that stuff I do make up on the side to get a little extra money.

I was told by two doctors I couldnt get pregnant because of the trauma I experienced as a child and had a hysterectomy scheduled that I became pregnant a month and half before. My new doctor constantly reminds me how lucky it is of me to be carrying this baby and healthy as well. And I had a job here that eventually fell through because im pregnant. Turns out family businesses can burn you worse than a company with no correlation of the familial type. And now that I am 7months along, no company will hire me regardless of how articulate or qualified I am because of my "condition".

My friend works an opposite schedule as her husband. He works nights and she works days. That way someome is always home with their little boy. They take videos of everything so one parent doesn't feel left out. They make it work somehow, but if she wasn't working too they would probably be homeless.
