braxton hicks?

my lower stomach is hurting, and I'm finding it difficult to walk. I have to keep pausing to hold on to chairs and things while I am walking. It just feels very tense and tight. Does this sound like braxton hicks or something worse?

I think that 'balled up' feeling you get is bubs moving, like curled up into a spot, i get it too, and i'm 25 +3 weeks. It's like a slow pressurised feeling, and you can feel it coming on, and that 'ball' spot is all hard, it's the baby. They must be turning, or moving position! Sometimes it can make you stop and grab your stomach, but it shouldn't be painful, anything crampy and painful and keeps happening should get checked out. Hope you're ok darl :)

I started getting thm whn i was 16wks.. They use to be 3-4 everyday... OMG they use tight my tummy. I become breadthless n it always use to take abt 40secs to get bck on normal track... They started increasing i dont know may be 5-6 everyday... After 26wks they hvr become intense.. After intercourse i actually get them 15-20mins a part... Coz i start peeing every 15 mins n i stay in the situation like for 1hr or so.. Until my body is warm n i stop peeing... Usually i get thm when i m severally dehydrated but now they just come... Evn if i get jumps in car coz of bumpy road i get abt one or two with in 30mins...

I know its a hard feeling... Mines get worst if i hve wind trapped which i literally get alot coz it almost seems like i eat wind... Or when i hve urge to pee... I m going to discuss this with my midwife next appointment just to put it in her file....
I hope u feel well...

You should prob call your dr hun...but even if they are real they are far enough apart that they may not say anything

I guess it depends how well you can tolerate pain. If your sensitive then they might feel more painful to you than someone who can tolerate more. If you feel very uncomfortable or think something might be wrong you should call or go in. Try and rest and if that doesn't ease them then try something else.

ok yeah, it's really hurting again and I'm sitting down. I'm getting my mom and asking her about it.

yeah, exactly! I was worried because everything I read said that they shouldn't hurt, that it should just feel like a charlie horse...but charlie horses HURT.

Yeah they might be BH but that's just a little odd that they are that painful with you being only 22 weeks. Hope they go away. Try and rest. Mine wake me up in the middle of the night sometimes and I think "oh this is it" but nothing! Lol.

thanks! I just went and peed after drinking a 2 liter bottle full of water, and I feel a little better :) So THAT'S what those infamous braxton hicks feel like.

Thats so funny you posted this, well not funny but I was just about to post this myself. I got really painful and tightness like a ball feeling in my sides lower down. but I went to the bathroom and they eased a little but were still there and then went away! haven't felt them since. I assumed it was BH. Hope yours feel better soon.

I've only had about 3 in the past 2 hours, but they don't hurt when I sit down, only when I try to walk. I know I'm carrying my baby really low because I've only felt him kick low down...so maybe that's it. I'm 22+2

How far along are you? They sound like real contractions to me. They're stopping you in your tracks from the pain/pressure so... How far apart are they?
