5-6 weeks pregnant

This is my 1st pregnancy & I am about 6weeks. Just yesterday when I used the bathroom & wiped it had pinkish spotting on the paper. Is this normal? & I been experiencing slight cramps nothing major. Also my HCG level was low from my blood work I took on July 22. Is any1 else experiencing similar symptoms???

Thank you SO much for the comments! Greatly appreciated :) I'm not bleeding alot it's very very light & only sometimes when I use the bathroom & wipe! N.e wayz yesterday I had a blood test & I go in 2morow morning for another blood test & my 1st sonogram! I am hoping everything is ok & I can hear my baby's heartbeat. If it's not to early. I also think I was stressing out w/o my other half here with me! He is finally home & I can relax :) my cramps have gone away. My boobs have been a little tender too. Thanks again for all the feed back

I agree with the last two posters.  If you are already 6 weeks along, it's too late to be implantation bleeding (Implantation bleeding occurs 7-13 days after ovulation, so that would put you 3-4 weeks for it to be happening.  You're well past that).  I don't want to worry you, but just let you know that with my first pregnancy, I started spotting at 6 weeks and that ended up in miscarriage.  So PLEASE at least contact your doctor about it.  ESPECIALLY if it's accompanied by cramping - however mild.  It warrants a phone call to your doctors office and maybe even a trip to the ER.  NEVER take spotting "lightly" or think it's just "normal."

It took us 6 years to get pregnant again after that miscarriage.  And then, only through IVF.  So I can't stress enough how important it is to contact your doctor!!

Best of luck!

My doctor recommended that I go to the ER if I experienced any spotting or bleeding even if it was light..  It could be nothing but it could be a sign of several things..

I had light pink spotting literally like one spot when I wiped at 5 weeks and again at 9 week and was told not to worry...  at 12 weeks, I found out I had a blighted ovum...

Hope everything is alright but it could go either way.

Spotting/bleeding during pregnancy is not "normal" and only happens in 25% of all pregnancies.  While it could certainly be caused by something benign, it is something that warrants a call to your dr to see what they want you to do.

Implantation bleeding occurs about 7-10 days after conception (e.g. before you are considered 4 weeks pregnant) so it isnt that.

I do know that very early in pregnancy its not uncommon to spot... they say not to worry unless the blood is bright red and the cramping is sever. I would keep an eye on it and possibly call your doc just to be on the safe side. They will probably tell you that its very normal and not to worry. Good Luck
