Use a focal point too! That really helped me:)
The one thought that helped me the most during the labor was that between the contractions there is calm. Even when the contractions are close together, there are breaks. When you go into transition...focus on your breathing and keep your voice low. Moaning in a low tone is good but screaming and using high pitches wastes energy and causes your body to tense up. The same goes for pushing. Just focusing on these things can help you get through. If a tub is available, try it. Keep moving...rock, sway and dance the baby out.
Good support is very important.
Enjoy the experience. It is amazing to birth a child :)
Be open minded! Everyone has different opinions but i LOVED the epidural. My contractions started at every 2 minutes so the drugs were a lifesaver for me. Lol and also take it all in. Itll be over before you know!! Try and remember as much as much as you can so you can write it in the baby book. Also pictures are amazing to have of the experience. Not graphic ones lol but just normal ones. :) good luck mama!
