7 week scan no embryo no yolk sac

After suffering a bleed at 6 weeks + 4 I went for a scan at 7 weeks + 2. The report reads: Yolk Sac absent, Embryo absent.

I was sent home to miscarry naturally and have another scan on Monday. I have read a lot of the comments on this site which are really useful but can't find anything about absent yolk sac and embryo. I am thinking that I have miscarried, however I still have really sore breasts (especially on an evening). General health fluctuates between feeling great and really nauseus and very tired. I have not miscarried naturally. Has anyone else had similar scan and gone on to find out that they are actually still pregnant? Thanks

I had a scan at 12 weeks and there was no yolk sac and no fetal pole.  I could not have been less than 9 weeks pregnant at the time if I was even off on my dates.  My gestational sac measured 7 weeks 5 days.  Did they test your HCG levels, you should haveh ad that tested and returned in48 hours to test again tos ee if they are rising, or dropping.  You may have a blighted ovum but a blood test and the future ultrasound will prove more.  If you are off with your dates, you should be able to see something in your next ultra sound.  if it is the case of a blighted ovum, you can still continue to have symptoms for a couple weeks while your levels drop.  I was still having symptoms and never bled, or cramped before my d&c which was 6 weeks after waht the sac was measuring.

The doctor is sending you for another scan, which means there is still some possibility in the doctors mind that things are not concrete.  I would wait for that and get yout HCG lvl measured if you have no already.

There was a sac which was just a dark circle (fluid filled). The doc said there did not seem to be anything in it.

The report that they gave me says: Gestational sac (mean) 13.7 mm, Gestational sac volume 1.2ml

It also says there is no sign of a viable 7 week pregnancy on todays scan.

Ok was there an acctual sac onthe scan what did the doc tell u u measured at? I know some women on Here didn't see anything on scan until 8 weeks, docs can be so quick to jump to miscarriage

7 weeks + 2 is from 1st day of last period but my calculations are 6 + 3 today

Are you sure that you are as far on as 7 weeks that could be why there is no y/sac
