8 week u/s heart rate 163

Due to having miscarried twice I went in for an early u/s. We got to see the baby's heart. They think it measured about 7 weeks with a heart rate of 163. Is this normal?

Well I did have 2 miscarriages and this is my third pregnancy. We had read about misdiagnosed miscarriages we let them both go naturally though with the first one I had to get a d and c because it did not pass after 2 months. But we are happy and hopeful.

Yup, normal! Miscarriages are misdiagnosed all the time. Congratulations on a healthy little bean!

Yes. Normal heart rates are between 120-160. However when the heart first starts beating at about 6-10 weeks it can be higher. With both of my daughters at 8 weeks their heart rates were in the 170's.
