awww hun im sooooo sorry to hear this i had this when i was preg with number 1 i got it we had no idea what it was we thought it was bed bugs i dealt with it for months :( teh i had my daughter at about 3 weeks old i stopped breast feedinga nd she caught them was covered head to toe ended up being admitted to hospital... some headlice treatments are used for scabies also its what we used to clear them but you have to hot wash all clothes bedding mattresses need to be uin sun light etc, every few days theyre really contagious and hard to get rid of... the 1st place they usually come up is between your fingers.
they cant cause any bad damge to your unborn child though....
Thanks factorymommy, I was wondering if there might have been any home remedies. I'm sure gonna keep that in mind! I'm pooped! I've been washing everything since yesterday.
If you get a light case of them (they like creases like the webs of your fingers/toes) you can use clear finger nail polish over top of them. It smothers them.
My mom got scabies in the 90s when she worked in an e.r. (fun of being an rn!) Thats what the e.r. docs told her to do, and they went away in like a week. That'll work on any part of the body btw, just easier to do on places like fingers.
I really hope I don't get them! I smotherd my kids up w/ a cream from doc. It seems to be clearing up. I'm glad it's only a one time deal. I'm feeling much less paranoid:)
I got them when my son was 2 months old from a couch we bought. I would go to the doctor some meds will cause brain damage to the baby if u take it. We had to give our son a sulfur dip for three days its was so nasty.but to get rid of them u have to wash all furniture and wash clothes in vvery HOT water or bag them up for 2 weeks. If u havent had it before it can take awile to get the symptoms but if u have had them before it can take days to get them. Hope this helps
