I pack my hospital bag a week ago, for the baby i put in two coming home outfits one is a little bigger then the other just in case, three socks, three mittens, three hats, baby wipes, baby health kit , one blanket , one reciving blanket that wraps them around like a little chicken wrap lol , a jacket since is cold outside. For me i pack a comfortable sleeping gown ,three ***** three underwears, a towel , travel kit with a tooth brush and other important little things, coming home outfit for me and all the paper work i might need.

The good news is, you can send someone to get anything you forget :) I wouldn't pack too much for baby. Diapers and hospital onesies should be provided. Just bring an outfit for going home. If you dress the baby in your own things and they get peed or pooped on you can't wash them, plus things can get lost. I see it all the time since I work in a post partum hospital unit :)

Not stupid...

Shampoo conditioner bodywash loofa, comfy pants house shoes or flip flops clothes for baby blanket to cover up baby on the way to the car  if ur picky on pillows bring ur own (might make you more comfortable) robe, hairbrush, toothbrush tooth paste deodorant hair ties/clips nursing pads. I also took my laptop and charger the last time i was in the hospital. Also some dermaplast and tucks pads! Sounds crazy but if you tear or get an episiotomy they work wonders for the burning sensation when you pee!!!

But then u probably wont need everything im mentioning. Lol. My hospital provides diapers pads wipes etc

For me I've packed: travel size shower wash, toothpaste & tooth brush, an old shirt of my partners to give birth in, clothes to wear home, 4 pairs of knickers, maternity pads, breast pads, pjs and slippers (incase its at night and abit of make up. Hope this helps.

Comfy sweats robe (I preferred hospital gown instead of a shirt) chap stick camera pony tail holder batteries for camera. My hospital provides pads, diapers, and formula, you will want to ask if yours does. For baby bring a couple outfits onesies nuk if u want a specific one otherwise hospital provides one. You don't have to bring the car seat in right away but you should have the base buckled in the car and car seat on the ready baby blankets mits hat.  If you feel that you should pack something pack it there's nothing wrong with over packing.
