6 months to a year (or longer) is the recommended. The longer you wait is usually the best because it gives your body plenty of time to heal.

Scar tissue naturally builds up. I have a 3 inch incision from an IUD removal surgery and have scar tissue all along there. It's just with more and more c-sections more will accumulate making it more difficult. As for other complications, most are very low and usually only happen if you get pregnant right after you had a c-section. For example, I know someone who got pregnant 4 weeks after she had her c-section and hemorrhaged on the operating table. She pulled through, but required tons of transfusions. What was your first c-section for? Was it medically necessary, or elective.

Thank you for the answer. Did any one face the serious situation u said. can you be more clear on the matter u said
(scarring inside can make the next delivery difficult depending on how much scarring as well as a chance for separation during pregnancy and or delivery. If your uterus binds to your placenta it then can turn into a serious situation. )

SEPARATION- not clear to me , what separation stitches of uterus or what?
Uterus Binding to placenta- how does this happen when placenta itself would be attached to uterus. Is it when uterus is not healed properly n getting pregnant causes that binding.

I'm really worried and at the same time scared coz I have lost my first baby.

Now a days I feel abdominal pain during my periods which i never felt prior to my C-section. My periods started soon after one month of the c-sec'n. I do not mind delaying my next pregnancy to avoid risks.

Thanks again for the time.

It is recommended at least one year or more, not just for healing of the body but for your safety during the next pregnancy/delivery.With c-sections you have the potential for scarring inside the body that can make the next delivery difficult depending on how much scarring as well as a chance for seperation during pregnancy and or delivery. If your uterus binds to your placenta it then can turn into a serious situation.
