Again I ask if these are contractions

im having sharp pains in my vagina again. Baby is head down by the way. I am 39 weeks pregnant with 5 days until my due date. Iv felt this sharp pain about 6 times within the last hour. At the same time I can feel and see my baby girls feet moving up by my ribs. Somebody on here told me it's just her moving around. Is this true or is it contractions?

I have had those sharp pains too. Its usually because your dialating. You will know contractions when you feel them.

Yeah just sounds like normal pains. Baby may just be getting ready and setting position for birth. :) Good luck!

Belly isn't hard. And no it's just a sharp pain that goes away instantly after. But it keeps happening whenever my baby moves a ton.

Thats the first time ive heard of something like this. My braxton hicks felt the exact same in hardness as with actual labor contractions, only difference for me was cramping. So not sure this is true for everyone. Thanks for clarifying though.

Lol. Touch the top of your belly where your uterus would be. And touch your chin your nose and your forehead. If it feels like your chin its nothing if it feels like your nose there braxton hicks if there your forhead there contractions..... compare the hardness of your belly to those 3 places

I dont get the above comment either???? Confusing....anyways...ima third time mommy. From my experience contractions can be different for everyone. Is ur belly feeling tight or feels balled up really hard ? Thats a contraction. Back pain or bad cramping could also be. Does the sharp pain shoot fown into ur vaginal area? Thats ur cervix dilating. Id start counting how far apart they are if u can figure out whether they are contractions or not. Hope i helped a little bit for you.
