Would I be able to have child birth because of my scar? Its from hip to hip

I saw on TLC that they don't let people who have scars that go up an down or accross have natural child birth.  Some thing about the scar could bust open.  I was pregnant in my tube an was cut hip to hip to remove one of my tubes.  Is this true.  I almost died from 2 kinds of infections. So needless to say...I really don't want them to have cut me again.  I had 2 months of physical theropy, a whom vac, an a week of 107.0 fevers.  Please reply.

You dont need a c-section.  I too have a scar from hip bone to hip bone.  I got my left ovary and fallopian tube taken out a year ago.  I can have a natural vaginal childbirth just like anyone else.  Your uterus was untouched thats the reason for a repeated c-section.  Trust me i have asked my doctor more than once about this.  And have been told by not only him but other doctors that i can have a vaginal birth.

My scar got bigger now that im pregnant but thats to be expected....Don't worry you will be fine! Oh and your scar wont burst open i dont know what TLC show you were watching but it wont happen.  Sometimes i thought it would the bigger i got, but its still intact and just fine! haha

My mother had a C-section with me and was cut top to bottom, I believe.  Ten years later she gave birth to my brother vaginally ...and I found out when talking to her yesterday, she did it without the epidural!  Go Mom!!  =D

I think it depends on the scar itself and what your doctor recommends.  If s/he feels it would pose a problem in a vaginal delivery, you'll be recommended for a C-section.  Like nutz said, talk with your doctor to find out if vaginal delivery is a good possibility for you.

I'm not sure hunni, the best person to ask is your doc. But i'll let you know this. 75% of women who had a c-section first time round, went on to have a natural birth the next time. I believe it depends on how long before the op, how well it healed and so on. Hoipe this helps. hugs.
