i am not pregnant, but i have horrible allergys as well. i asked the pharmacist what i could take if i was pregnant ( i take it everyday so for the tww i wanted to know) anyways he showed me in the pharmacy book that benedryl is ok, i was skeptical but he showed it to me so i read it and believe it.
hope this helps!
Great thanks hkenny!.... I looked that up as well and wondered why the doc didnt just tell me to go get benadryl which is a B class drug (safer than C) then just sending in a script for allegra (C class Drug) I think I will stick with the benadryl.... Thanks!
I was told that benadryl and tylenol were the only two safe meds pregnant women should take...good luck!
u can actually take zrytec over the counter that is what my ob gave me cause iw as also on allgera for my horrible allgeries thought that might help but if u wonder u should ask ur doctor they cant tell you
Personally, I would be asking my doctor. Any time you want to take a medication, you should always check with your provider. I wouldn't want to risk anything... but you can take benadryl in the mean time to at least somewhat relieve your symtoms.
Allegra is a "Pregnancy Category C" - which should usually be avoided. (A & B are much safer). Benadryl and Zrytec are B's. But you should always consult with your OB.
