had my dr's appt today--update.....
so now i begin my weekly appt's....today though, the OB switched all a'noon appts to am, and all tomorrows appt's to p m, b/c they are closing tomorrow and monday-hurricane ike-.....
but she checked me, and although i'm closed and not thinning, i'm softening...she says she doesnt anticipate me going into labor in the next few days, but that a week can have alot of difference(next appt is 9/18).....right now, alex is weighing in around 4lbs 14 ounces, maybe 5 lbs...if he hits an est. 8 pounds, they'll induce me, if he hits 9+ lbs, we'll be discussing a c-section, and if at induction he doesnt "feel like" coming out, we'll def do a c-section.....on the NST, i am showing to have contractions, which is why she went ahead and did a vag u/s...in the 25 minutes i was hooked up, i had 2 longer ones, but i wasn't actually feeling them, but she wanted to check anyways, and that was when she said although i'm not dilated or thinning, i am dropping and softening.....EDD is still around oct 20th, but she is not expecting me to make it past the 15th at the very latest, as if alex gains a 1/2 pound every week, then around oct 20th, he'd be right @ 8lbs or a little over, and around 10/25(original dr's EDD), he could be 9+ pounds.....i'm getting the round ligament pain, but she was saying that it should be tapering off by now(i've had it constantly since monday pm/tuesday am).....and that if tylenol or resting doesn't make it go away by monday, to go to the ER.....also, part of the pain in my hips and thighs, is from alex pushing down, and spreading my hips, apparently another reason she doesn't think that i'm going to make it since his pushing is what helps/starts the dilation part.....so, as of now, i'm not on any restrictions, but she wants me to make use of the hurricane, and get as much rest as possible, and if i have 5 or more contractions in an hour, to go to L&D.....it was if i had them consecutively for 30 mins, now she's saying 5 total in an hour....with this lil munchkin, who knows when he'll show up lol.....i am buying a carseat next weekend when df gets paid, and some more diapers and wipes, JIC he does come before my shower.....
but anyways, i thought i'd share what's going on lol.....so i guess there's a *slight* possibility my october boy, may become a sept boy, depending on mine and his bodies! anytime after this saturday, if i go into labor, she's not going to try and stop it.....she said he may have to stay in the hospital an extra 1-3 days, but that he probably wouldnt even have to go to the NICU, just keep him in more as a JIC thing.....

i am happy for you and happy you found out some information. Maybe your oct boy will become a sept boy just like mine, i find it ironic that your going through similar thigns as i am. We're both having boys, lol my boys name is gunna be alexander and the due date was supposed to be oct 4th but now its sept 19 or 20th lol. I love it lol Well i hope you the BEST and hope everything runs smoothly :) Good luck and keep us informed of whats happening!
taken-lol ya know the dr i switched from, was the same way.....when he was supposed to be doing all these femur(?) measurements, he was checking me with a seemstress' tape, and checking the heartbeat.....after my new dr pretty much freaked out up on reading my chart, and at 30 weeks, all i'd had was the basic bloodwork, pelvic and glucose, ohhhh she was P!!!!!SSED!!!!!
so, now she tells me everything lol....i don't know his exact measurements, but at least she does, and tells me he's "an awesome, LARGE, and healthy" baby lol....
thx 4 the wellwishes!!! i'm getting kinda antsy, esp now that i know i'm in a "safe zone", and if i deliver, nothing will be wrong with him, pretty much!

Sounds like you are doing really good. i wish i had your doc. mine doesnt tell me anything. it is so frustrating. and he is old and forgetful. Congrats on the good news.
