Declining betas at 12 weeks

I am currently 12 weeks pregnant.  Last week I went to the ER due to a heavy bleed.  A bedside u/s was done and it showed the baby with a good heartbeat.  Betas were drawn and they were around 60,000.  A week later I was back in the ER due to increased spotting.  Another beta was drawn.  This time it was marginally lower in the range of 56, 000.  I was scheduled for an ultrasound the following day.  The u/s showed the baby measuring on track with a good heartbeat.  More blood work was drawn.  The beta was still on the decline, now in the 52, 000 range.  My question is, is the declining betas a concern?  At what point in the pregnancy do betas begin to drop, and what rate of decline is considered "normal"?

it is around 12 weeks that they do start to taper off and drop... I hope thats what it is.. I have no idea what a normal drop rate is as most doctors dont use them as a reference that late because its more important that you baby is measuring on track with a heartbeat...
