that's exactly what i did. and it lasted about that long.
A true period is not possible unless under extremely rare conditions. Period like bleeding however is not uncommon. To have a true menstural cycle you will miscarry the child, as you shed the lining that builds up to support the egg, and it's flushed out with everything else.
With my first pregnancy I had what I thought was a very light period, come to find out it was implantation bleeding that lasted about 5days. It was very light and I only noticed it when wiping (tmi sorry). I found out 1-2weeks later I was pregnant:). I would try testing with fmu and see what it says. Good luck:)
FYI: you can have a period while pregnant, its just not common and usually it stops within the first 2-3 months
Implantation bleeding is usually not that heavy, nor is it too common. True implantation is usually a drop or two of blood, nothing more. The size of the egg is smaller than the tip of a ballpoint pen and will not cause any type of flow. IF it was implantation bleeding it wouldn't matter when your cycle was due because you wouldn't get it. Women do not have a period while pregnant.
If you're sexually active, especially with no protection, pregnancy is definitely possible. Take a test with first morning urine and/or see a doctor for blood testing. Good luck!
so, if what i had was implantation bleeding, if my period was going to start it would have started on the day it was supposed to?
I'm pretty sure it is past the date that it should have started.. I'm not good at keeping up with my periods, as bad as that sounds, but I'm pretty positive. I bled pretty lightly the whole time though. It lasted maybe about, 4 days? Some people said it sounded a lot like implantation bleeding.
Unfortunately there really isn't any way to know without a pregnancy test. Yes, sometimes bleeding can be a symptom, as is being tired. Cramping too. Problem is that they can also be symptoms of all sorts of other things. If you are past the date when you would have expected to have your period, try a home test, or get a blood test. Sorry, that's really all you can do. Best of luck.
