my little one loved cheerios - i also gave her very very mild chicken curry and plain naan bread - to get her used to stronger flavours - she's now 19 months and wolfs down everything in sight! Last night we had a chinese for a treat and she ate most of my chicken in black bean sauce (wouldnt recommend that one yet though!!)
Things like bolognaise are good too, and you can buy baby pasta shapes (in the UK Heinz do little stars), but bigger pasta is good too as they find it easy to hold
Toast with different spread toppings is always good - and have you tried scambled egg? I melt a little cube of cheese in there too... This was and still is a big fave of my daughters - EGG was her first word!! lol. Its amazing what they can manage with just one tooth!!
I dont replace the baby food only bc I havent given her enough to fill her in place of baby food. I just feed her what she wants off of my plate...want to make sure shes eating as much as she should of the other stuff until shes fully eating regular food.
LosingMyMindinGA has some good ideas! Have to try them out.
small pieces of soft cheese are good, cut up ravioli, try the gerber graduates meet sticks or vienna sausges cut into pieces then cut the pieces into quarters so they are small.
I know! It's crazy! I tried giving her cheerios, but they were the publix brand so not sure if that mattered, but she kind of choked on it so I'm nervous about giving her those now, lol. But she loves the gerber puffs, apple cinnamon flavor. Do you replace the chicken or noodles that you give her for a meal (jar of baby food)?
Hey Kristen...can you believe how fast they are growing. sarah is 8 months next week.
Sarah LOVES baked beans..lol..I cut them up of course..but LOVES LOVES them...
She also likes small pieces of noodles. I have also given her small pieces of cut/shredded chicken......
Other than that..I think that is all she has had..and its only bc we have been eating and she was extremely interested in it! Shes too cute!
my doc said cheerios when they are able to pick it up with thumb and first finger. you can also try some noodles, crackers, some canned veggies are good (because they are much softer).
