So my cousin was throwing my baby shower. She finally found a place n everything. I gave her my list of people n addresses n it was all set for march 3rd. Then all of a sudden she decided to up n move to another state next month. I just asked her about the baby shower n she had her husband call me n tell me that i could still use the place but someone else would have to plan it n they wont be able to attend. They were the only family i had on that side of the family n i feel so hurt now. She couldnt even call me n tell me herself which hurts the most. So now in stuck throwing my own baby shower n feel really weird doing so. Sorry its so long...just had to get that out...

Yea i have a friend thats going to help n im sure my mom will. It just makes me mad cause my cuz was so set on throwing it then just no.

I agree with cgoodwin.  Look at your guest list,  and think of a couple of your most precious friends and ask if they'll step in.

This isn't up to you - this is up to friends and family to ask for gifts for you,  not for you to ask for gifts for yourself.  Since you've already come up with a guest list,  pic a couple of them that are most lose to you and ask them to step in.

I'm so sorry that really *****. You're not alone though. My mother and mother-in-law are helping financially but with planning the entire thing I'm on my own.
