Thank you Jackie, I really appreciate your kind words. I go back Monday for another u/s so hopefully his/her heart will be on track. I will be praying for you also.
I'm also in the same situation as you. I am pregnant with twins and at my 6 weeks scan, Baby A only had the sac but no fetal pole and no hb. Baby B had sac, fetal pole at hb of 107. At my 8 weeks scan, we could see the fetal pole for Baby A and even a hb of 92 but was only measuring 6 weeks, 2 days instead of 8 weeks. Baby B was measuring on target at 8 weeks and had hb of 158. Dr. also told me that Baby A might not make it as Baby A was measuring almost two weeks behind and hb shoudl have been over 120 at this point. We will confirm for sure at next scan in two weeks. Try and keep positive and my husband and i even told the Dr that Baby A didn't even have a hb last time but now it does so that is something positive. As long as the baby has a hb, do not give up hope and keep praying that both your babies survive.
Please keep praying and I hope that both our babies survive. I
I don't know about the rates, but the rate of "vanishing twin syndrome" is 1 and 8 sets of twins vanishes. I have been doing research on it because I am also having twins also.
First off congratz on the twin pregnancy!!! I know that a heartbeat nder 100 bpm is typically not the greatest indication that the baby will survive, but like you said if the baby is a few days behind the other the heartrate is normal.... I also know that twins dont always measure the same so maybe twin b is just a little behind! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and please keep us posted!
