TWO QUESTIONS!!

I am taking NatureMade Multi Prenatal Vitamin............ I have a prescription prenatal too but I prefer the naturemade... are prescription prenatal vitamins better than OTC? Is there any difference?  Also i got another prescription iron pill along with the prenatal vitamin but i havent taken it at all bc everytime i check my iron it is Perfect-o... and i have a huge fear/problem swalloing pills.. its like torture..

Question 2:  Can i chew my NatureMade Prenatal?  Is it okay to chew a prenatal even if its not made to be chewed?  LET ME KNOW!!!

There's no difference in prescription and OTC prenatals unless otherwise stated on the bottle (such as the ones that are sugar-coated so they're easier to swallow). Otherwise they have the same basic vitamins/minerals in them.

No, you cannot chew a non-chewable vitamin. You are allowed to take Flintstone vitamins, or other childrens' vitamins that you can chew, if you cannot swallow pills.

I think they absorb differently into your body when you chew them vs. swallowing them whole.  They do make chewable prenatal vitamins though. I can't remember the name of them, but my friend took them while she was pregant since she can't swallow pills.
