There's no difference in prescription and OTC prenatals unless otherwise stated on the bottle (such as the ones that are sugar-coated so they're easier to swallow). Otherwise they have the same basic vitamins/minerals in them.
No, you cannot chew a non-chewable vitamin. You are allowed to take Flintstone vitamins, or other childrens' vitamins that you can chew, if you cannot swallow pills.
Do you know why you shouldnt chew them (just because thats what I ahve been doing... oops).. the naturemade crumble so easy and they dont taste bad lol... is there any medical reason do you know? Ive treid to google this and I am not having any luck and I cannnnnot swallow pills.
I think they absorb differently into your body when you chew them vs. swallowing them whole. They do make chewable prenatal vitamins though. I can't remember the name of them, but my friend took them while she was pregant since she can't swallow pills.
