If no fetus was seen by 4 months, then there isn't one there. Ultrasound can pick up anything from really small fliud collections to bones. What you are describing seems to be bowel related. A pregnancy cannot survive without hCG, which has not been detected in your situation. I think, along with others here, that you still need medical attention. Good luck with diagnosing your ailment.
Good morning.
Day:2
This is becoming a mini journal.
Everywhere else Im reading of mothers seeing baby on ultrasound at 8-10 weeks
What are the chances of survival with an abdominal pregnancy?
I've taken all the necessary measure I believe.
I took a hpt in december. blodd test in january. another hpt in march. vaginal ultrasound that month, another vaginal ultrasound a month after the previous one and another hpt just two days ago.
I've heard of women not knowing they were pregnant but what else can I do? I see a general practitioner and two different gynecologists. Where am I going wrong? They wont' perform a scan because I already had all those tests.
I dont know what else to do.
It's definitely happened before that women have not known they were pregnant, or suspected but been unable to confirm...but honestly, the odds are not good. I really think that you need to go see your doctor and demand another ultrasound, and if he refuses ask him to refer you to a specialist.
I personally don't feel like you're pregnant, but I'm not you so I have no way of knowing for sure...but I do know that you deserve answers. You really need to figure out what's going on because if you're NOT pregnant, you need to have these symptoms diagnosed and treated.
I can understand not being to see anything early on if you have a tilted uterus but at lets say four months pregnancy, can the fetus still not be seen via vaginal ultrasound? I've been wanting another ultrasound since May and they refuse because of the results of the previous ones.
I'm extremely confused about this. HPTs and a blood test, two vaginal ultrasounds I'm still not convinced I'm not.
My only symptoms are bloated stomach and the fluttering. I did a prolactin test and it showed very low milk production. Results read - not pregnant.
I always feel like I'm trying to accommodate something in my stomach. I move around a bit, lift my arm to feel comfortable.
I'm scared :(
I have never had any issues with having a tilted uterus other than difficulty with them reaching my cervix and having more pressure on my right side during the last part of pregnancy becuase of the way it tilts.
My mom on the other hand during her first pregnancy made it to 8 months without looking pregnant at all. She wore the same clothes she was wearing before...but one night apparently my brother made some pretty strong movements and it flipped her uterus forward, she ended up having to have her nightgown CUT off of her and it produced such horrible stretch marks that it literally ripped her skin and was bleeding. With her second pregnancy she didn't have that problem.
Your screen name made me smile.
If i am in fact pregnant I'm naming my kid after you!
I've been told that it was gas and the bloating could be IBS. I've had these movements since the month of April while having my period and to this day. Sometimes nothing for days.
I was given photos of my uterus and my ovaries at my last visit. Nothing. My stomach is bizarre. It swells during the day. I can lay on it and pass gas once I get up and it feel heavy but only at the top below my belly button nothing. There are times during the day when the stomach just disappears by a few inches.
I don't know where else to turn.
It is highly unlikely that you are pregnant.
And preg tests still show positive after twelve weeks. If you were 7 months pregnant you would be able to see the baby moving and a ultrasound would see it tilted uterus or not cause the baby would be too large to hide. Bleeding for 30 days straight while pregnant... It qould be highly unlikely that it would survive... Also considering that tour dr persxribed you something to start your period which is flushing out the uterus I believe.

It seemingly only affects results during early pregnancy.
I would have been at 16 to 20 weeks Not counting the month of November when I actually missed my period.
Wait....
Is it possible to bleed for 30 straight days and still be pregnant?
Thank you,Losing.
A question. Are women born with a tilted uterus or does it become so?
I have a four year old son and never had any problems with him and have had a pap smear.
I've never been TOLD I had a tilted uterus either unless I brought it up. I knew I did though becuase of the difficulty they had getting to my cervix during pelvic exams and pap smears, my mom also had the same problem. I still think it would be wise to see a reproductive specialist if you can. They can help you determine whatever the problem is better than a regular gynecologist Good luck!
Thank you all.
I was never told by neither gynecologists that my uterus was tilted.
They only said that they couldn't see anything. That I was not pregnant. They didn't have a hard time coming up with the results.
Yes an hpt should still be accurate at that point. Blood tests atleast should be able to confirm it. I have heard the possibility of missing the baby on ultrasound especially if the uterus is tipped or tilted funny. If I were you I would probably consider consulting with a reproductive specialist.
Tests pick up small amounts of hCG in early pregnancy. The hCG hormone rises in early pregnancy, but then plateau. I don't know that they will show negative after 12 weeks because there should definitely be at least 20 miu/ml of hCG in urine while gestating.
Now I just read that after 12 weeks they no longer work properly so you will always get a negative result.
Can anyone else help, please?
Thank you so much for your prompt response, Waitn.
To be honest. I'm hoping I'm not yet pregnant. I have a four year old and would like to wait a little longer before he gets a sibling.
I live on a tiny island and I've seen two of the gynecologists including a general practitioner who thinks I'm crazy.
I'm asking because of this : http://ehealthforum.com/health/can-an-ultrasound-miss-a-pregnancy-t194154-a1.html
LadyPhenome who says the baby was there but it was missed.
It this actually possible?
hpts typically pick up very small HCG levels....if you were 7 months preg then an HPT would def pick that up by now.....blood test for HCG levels would also def pick it up
at 7 month preg there would be a great deal of actual baby movement and not just fluttering....
im sorry its prob not the answer you were looking for....i would talk to your doc about trying something else to help you conceive
best of luck
