Lol Joy!!! Sorry I'd send you something yummy but I can't cram it into my CD rom!!!! lol.
You guys are making me HUNGRY!!!
lasagna, chicken enchiladas, soups....these are all things I made when I was expecting DS, to be ready (and, truthfully, I don't think I'll make so much next time - there's nothing wrong with frozen pizzas! ;-)
I would do soups and sauces. Chicken and dumpling, chicken noodle, and chicken tortilla. Speghetti sauce for sure and Lasagna. If you have good freezer bags you can even grill meat up and then freeze it. My dh does this with Ribs and roasts so that he can quick thaw them on nights when we're in a hurry to get dinner on the table.
Thanks ladies! The only thing is that neither of us really grew up on or even like casseroles/chili.... which puts a huge dent into cooking ideas.
Martika: I would love some soup recipes - we usually eat stuff like chicken noodle or hamburger soup....
soups, chicken, turkey, all kinds! if you need recipes, just ask. I cook all the time!
Chili, we make a couple pounds of it and then thaw it out as we need it. I also do chicken pot pies and all types of casseroles.
You can make a big spaghetti sauce and just boil the noodles when you need. You can make a big rice and gravy and boil the rice when you need.
That is about all I can cook so that is all the ideas for me!! I am with Joy, with the pre-packaged foods!!!
Well just about any casserole (tuna noodle). You can make fajita stuff (bell peppers and chicken with seasoning) that you can easily thaw and add to tortillas with cheese.
You could also make chicken and noodles (the egg noodles).
Frozen pizzas are good, whether pre-packaged or homemade.
