Best way to give birth

Well im only 12 weeks but already thinking about what type of birth im wamting. I have always said id like a water birth but as my sister is a doctor and has delievered babys etc before due to training she did. She says its easier to go on all fours and have gas and air and the baby comes out quicker. So i dunno wether to take her advice or not. What do u guys think? And any advice on your own experiences?

I know the pain will be bad but it all will be worth at the end. My mum gave birth to 7 kids all natural without any drugs. With my first I want to experience it all on my own so when they hand me my bubs I wsnt be druged up and not knowing whats going own. All I want is my husband there holding my hand and rubbing my back. But like ladies said above me we all have a plan, which sometimes works othe times it doesn't

You can be on all fours in a birthing tub. Any squating position is best. Laying on your back is counter active.

I think its great to hav a plan but u really dont no wats gonna work for you untill its actually happening.. but i hav heard that a water birth is good for back pain also relaxing
My labour was in my back i found it best on all fours an also rocking on the ball..

I had my daughter completely natural when I was 14. If you just go with it, you don't try in pain or any of that. My labor was 3 hours start to finish and I only pushed 3 times as well. Don't fight labor and it helps. :)

I've heard water birth helps back labor and contraction pain. I wouldve done a water birth with both my kids but we don't have a birthing center around here or anyone certified to do it :( I had a vaginal birth with both my girls and its really not as bad as you'd think. Sure the contraction pain hurts but that's the worst part. You can ask for pain meds or an epidural. I jave a fear of needles on my back so I dodnt and by the time it was time to push my meds had wore off wayyy before that

I thought about a waterbirth with my daughter but in the end had to be hooked up to wires as I had complications but to be honest im glad I didn't in the end because I had the worst back labour and my mum and partner had to keep rubbing my back with every contraction qnd I could only position myself on all fours because the pain was unbearable if im honest. But I was induced 2 1/2 weeks early so she wasn't ready. Im 21 weeks and will definitely be having another epidural if it's anything like lastttime :)
