Birth control and breast feeding...

Hello, I am 36wks +2 and was wondering about birth control and breast feeding. I plan on breast feeding for 6 months; yet I want to get on the pill immediately after I have my daughter. Will the pill have any effect on her? Is it not recommended to take the pill while breast feeding??  Please help, thanks.

I used the mirena after my daughter was born. It has a very very low amount of estrogen abd I beat fed for 6 months. I plan to do the same with my second who I'm pregnant with now. Your doctor can suggest a form of birth control that is safe for u and baby

Yea there are a lot of types of the pill. You need the one that doesn't effect your baby. Ask your doctor and they will know exactly what you mean :)

You can take the mini pill. You can take other birth control it won't harm your baby but it can reduce your milk supply. You need something with no estrogen.
