Just because you aren't dilated it doesn't mean anything. I went for a check up two days after my due date and had finally dilated to a two and hadn't been at all week before. I was scheduled to be induced Nov 19 and woke up on the 18 and my little man decided to come on his own(: keep positive
I have actually been induced with some of my pregnancies by choice. I wanted to make sure my doctor was there to deliver my babies. He has delivered all 7 of them.
To some people, it is very important for them to try to go into labor naturally so I can understand that. There are things they can do to help things get moving on their own. They can sweep your membranes and that will often times, get things moving along "naturally" or at least, without any type of drugs/medication. You may want to ask your doctor about trying that before doing a medically induced induction.
You will hear both bad and good stories about inductions. The bad thing about that is that I would hate for you to be afraid needlessly. My experiences have been good. And no matter what, you will be okay.
Good luck! You are almost there! How exciting :)
I'm in the same boat I was in l&d yesterday due to pain in stomach and back I'm not dilating or opening they inducing me mondayy!
