After I had my daughter I got the IUD it worked great plus I didn't have a period while on it. I got my period shortly after I took it out and I got pregnant after 3 months of trying the iud lasts up to 5 years that's and fees long as I had it I didn't do the pill since I was scared I would forget to take it and I also tried the depo shots but they made me gain a lot of weight and gave me bad cramps I plan on getting the IUD after I have this baby
@cyclad dtd grt pls how much does it cost to get d IUD..im tinkn of a birth control after my baby comes and d iud sounds perfct and is it only fr 5yrs?wat of 3yrs or so?
Yea my sister has the iud but she told me it made her period worse so im kinda scared. but others also told me they didnt get theres at all so im stuck on what to do. I wanted to try the depo shot too but I'm scared to gain lots of weight...
The iud is great, I'm having it put back in asap.
Well, with every birth control make sure to read the fine print and know the possible side effects. I made the mistake of not asking questions and had a terrible time with the Mirena IUD. I have decided after this pregnancy I am going to try the implant that goes into your arm.
@scarlet whats d name of that one?i.e d implant that goes into ur arm..and do u knw if its grt?
You can have it removed when ever you want but have to get a new one in after 5 years if you get it at the health department they base it off your income. I believe the one in your arm is 3 years
Does the IUD hurt to put in?
Nope nd it only takes a few minutes for them to put it in
Just don't get the Depo shot! It's so dangerous as far as messing with hormones and cause infertility...
@emalee123 after this pregnancy I plan on getting the depo I had it a long time ago it worked good but what does it do to your hormones?
& my doc said they'll give it to me at the hospital after birth
I think I'll go for the IUD
