I stopped after 2 weeks, the stitches hurt when I went to the bathroom- get some dermoplast.

I'm 6 weeks pp, and still have discharge. Its not blood anymore but its the lochia(sp?). I tore and needed stitches, but I had an epidural so I didn't feel it.

The stitches didn't hurt much at all. The worst part was the gauze to stop the bleeding first. They freeze the area before they stitch, I didn't feel the freezing needle at ALL. The only stitches I could feel were the really superficial ones.
I am 3 weeks PP and am just stopping bleeding.  Hope this helps :)

I drank Red Raspberry Leaf tea during my 3rd trimester and after I gave birth. I stopped bleeding within 7days completely. The tea works wonders on your uterus.  Try it

I bled for 4 weeks, but wveryone is different. You can bleed for up to 6 weeks afterwards without causing any worries.
but I cannot answer the other half. I didn't require stitches in my small tear, although it did hurt a lot without so I'm sorry bit I assume it will be very painful! You can continue to suck the gas during though,  if you opt for pain relief :)
