Family not happy with gender?

So my whole family is very dramatic. This is my parents first grand baby and they were super excited. My mom constantly said"its a girl,i know cause im a mom" I thought it was.going to be a boy but she shot it down. My dad isn't so crazy obsessive cause hes to busy with making my mom mad, so hes happy with anything. (they're divorced) so I thought it would be nice to invite them down for the ultrasound. We got through all the drama my mom and dad stated and got to the appointment lol, I was about to loose it. Then I heard."its a boy!" And all that stress vanished. Me and my boyfriend were soooo happy!! However..the family was not. They started arguing witg the ultrasound lady, which made my visit shorter,.and when they left it was oh..i have to go..bye" and that was it. My mom called every day to check on me and baby but for the past three days no call. Then I got a message saying "i just really wanted a girl" I was a little hurt. I feel bad for my son cause now he may get mistreated or shoved aside like I was when I was little. She also said,.well maybe the ultrasound was wrong! Or maybe hes a girl, and it just bugs me that she can't accept him...

Sounds like it is all about her! haha. I'm guessing she would complain no matter what the ultrasound said. Let her sulk and maybe she will stay out of your hair.

That is just really mean of your mom. but i bet when she sees her grand kid she might change i really hope for your baby boy and for her. good luck and congratulations on the healthy baby boy.

You know as long as that baby is healthy it teally doesnt matter about other petty selfishness she just needs to be grateful that her child and grandchild are fine a d healthy!

Thanks :-)  I just got done talking to her and we had a little of a blow out.she was saying how things would be better with a girl, and I said that she doesn't have to be apart of my sons life if she doesn't want to be. Then she shut up and changed the subject, which I just hung up. Im not stressing allot, only cause this has happened my whole life. For right now she's on TO so its up to her now :-)  still so happy about my boy >< I love girly clothes and buying girly stuff, but I love boy stuff more, only cause im.a tom boy at heart.

Whatever, who caresss what it is? Honestly..A HEALTHY baby is the ONLY thing that should matter..And boys are SO much fun!!

Wow, that's selfish. Well I (any day now) have two little girls. As much as all the girly stuff is fun.... I would also love to eventually have a boy! They are so adorable! I hope things turn around for you and if not then you and your husband should not place your baby boy in a bad situation. Enjoy your son!

Wow that *****. I would think that family would be happy no matter what the gender was as long as you and baby are healthy. She's about to have a grandson she shoyld be very happy. Not to sound rude but she's lucky to be able to be apart of your baby boys life. Some grandmothers dont get that chance.
