When I don't feed for more than 3 hours that's how my boobs feel. Try to feed more often
I also nurse on demand so it really doesn't matter. He just stays attached to me more often sometimes
You'll stay engorged for longer if you exclusively pump. If you do try to put him to the breast and he falls asleep get him skin to skin. Sometimes it'll wake them up. Ill mess with my sons ears or hand if he needs to eat more.
when i only pumped i was engorged for weeks, with my son. i'm not pumping this time and was only engorged 2 days, maybe try putting him to the breast?
Mine were only hard n sore for about 2 days but i demand feed my daughter so she can hav 10 min then half hour later want another 15 min lol its time consuming but this way i know shes getting enough x
If he is only eating 2oz at a time either only pump about that much or pump till empty only a few times a day. It takes a day or two for your body to adjust to how much you need. If you pump till empty every time he wants to eat, you body thinks you need that amount of milk all the time.
Well he doesnt feed off my breast. I pump it put it in a bottle n gove it to him because when he eats off my breast he doesnt eat nearly enuff n then passes out. So i pump give him a 2 oz bottle then store the rest n the fridge. Is that okay or shuld i be doing somethin diffrent?
You should feed baby and then only express enough to relieve engorgement. Pumping and emptying the breast will make you produce even more. If you're worried about supply then drain them. Engorgement passes once your body realizes how much milk it needs to make and it regulates.
To relieve it express enough to relieve pressure, use warm compresses, and nurse frequently (when baby is hungry or every two to three hours).
Alright, yeah i know its my milk commin in it came in 2 days ago lol but this just hurts!
It is probably just your milk coming in. I can't remember how long it lasted with me as my youngest is 5, but it does ease up. Warm, damp towels can help if you leave them on your breasts for a while and hot baths or showers. Regular feeds also help.
