Try is all you can do some like it some take more time to get the hang of it also if one bottle type doesn't work look at different types like soothe bottles were great for my boys because they were more like a breast to them I went thru 4 types before it was settled and if it does come down to them only wanting the ba least you can still pump your milk best of luck!!!!
Thanks ladies I did go ahead and try it out I have been staying at my moms I live at my grandmas but been staying here for help and she gave him a bottle at midnight and it was 3 oz I had no idea she had done it I mean I prepared it just in case all she had to do was warm it but the baby was sleeping w her and I didn't even hear him fuss she work me up at 330 for him to feed she said he drank all 3 oz and then slept straight till 330 and now he is breasfeeding yay!!!!!!! Ill be working nights so this will work out
I was told by a lactation specialist to wait until they are 4 weeks to introduce the bottle so that they are comfortable with the boob. But in your case you are going back to work in a week you want to make sure baby will take the bottle, so try it out. Good luck
Thanks ya right now I. Using a nipple shield to breasfeeding he latches onto it really well and I have been told what bottles to use in just worried once I get him on the bottle when I'm away he won't feed when I'm not at work without the bottle but I think I may give him a bottle tonight since ill be working nights maybe a bottle a night to get him in the jist if using a bottle ! It's just all so new to me
If there is Zn issues its best to find out early so you can fix it. You may need a different nipple or whatever. So its best to trial and error before you have to be gone all day for work
I gave my son to hubby and gave him a bottle of pumped milk and said I'm taking a nap. He was like 4 weeks. No issues.
Have you tried giving him a bottle?
My baby boy couldn't take it after 3 weeks of breastfeeding.
I am also intrested in the answer to this so *bumps*
