With my first baby I tried both a manual pump and electric pump. Even had nipple cap to help him latch on. My ob gave me these pills that were supposed to help me produce more milk. Sadly none of those options worked. Definitely lots of crying and I think I became a little depressed because of it. I'm just really hoping that this next time will be different. My main concern is becoming so overwhelmed again but this time I will have both a newborn and toddler that are depending on me. Crossing my fingers that luck is on my side this time.
Im going through the same issue myself, my first one I couldnt produce enough I cried I even started pumping but I could only pump so much at a time so by the time I was done pumping at least 3 ounces it was time for him to eat again. It was an on going struggle until I switched him to formula. Im gonna try with my new lil one I believe im gonna do alot of pumping instead of actual boob good luck
I had the same problem as u for my first baby. He simply didn't want to latch on and even never attempted to find my nipples. I felt devastated as if he hates me or something else. I bought three different types of milk pump-manual, and other two electronic one just to get my milk for him. Overall he only latched on for about five times, butmy milk supply had last for about three months. I had done my very best to breastfeed but things won't go according to what I had planned. When I think back about how I reacted felt and stressed, I am simply relaxing myself without worry about bf or not to him. Get yrself a good pump. Relax.
Don't be discouraged by your first attempt tho. All babies and pregnancies are different. I only breastfed my daughter for 10days and neither of us got on with it. i tried everything and like you had no choice however i vowed to try again and managed to feed my son for 6 months and will definitely be trying again this time.
Good luck
hi.. try looking for moringa capsule.. its really effective or try cooking moringa leaves..my husband usually mixes it with meat like meatballs and cooks it in chicken stock..and take plenty of fluids.. when eating, always have some soup.. those helps..i swear!
Try pumping when you give birth, if your having a hard time at least then you won't dry out and you can still feed your baby just a little breast milk & still give him formula.
