Breast milk and alcohol?

Just curious, but im going to have my baby before Christmas, possibly around thanksgiving time. I really would like to hace a drink on New Years night, but i plan on breastfeeding. I hear a small amount of it makes it into your breast milk. What if I waited awhile before feeding? Or if I pumped ahead of time and stored it?

I'm going to invest in the strips. There like $10 for 5 strips at walmart.

All it'll do is make the baby a lil sleepy. It wouldn't harm him/her tho as long as yur not indulging in a lot . but 1-3 drinks is okay. Yu can always pump& dump a few ounces tho before feeding

I was reading online (don't know how accurate this is) that it takes roughly 2 hours per serving for it to work out of your milk. I want to breast feed too but I'd like a drink every now and then before I wean. I also read it's safer after baby is 3 months...

They actually make strips to test the alcohol level in the breast milk. But pump enough for a couple feedings and have a drink on new years

You can Google how long it stays and when its safe. There's always pump and dump.

I would pump and save it, but as long as you dont feel any affect from the drink its ok to feed as what I been told but me personally I pumped a few days making sure I had enough for the baby to eat and then pumped and dumped the next day still because im to paranoid lol. People said it was dumb for me to dump it but I felt save that way.

I would pump ahead of time and store it! Idk how long it takes to get  out completely but i would rather be comfortable and certain that there would be no more, you should be fine by the next day
