BritanyG? Are you still in Okinawa?
I heard on the news that the bases have been locked down on Okinawa. I didn't read much about it but I gathered that some marines have had a bad case of the stupids lately and now the locals are really up in arms about it.
I remember how they were when I was there...bases being locked down so they could do their stupid human chains...shouting things in japanese telling the stupid americans to go home blah blah.
Just wanted to see how you were doing.
I say we need to pull ALL of our troops from there and close the bases and watch their economy go to sh!t, but that's just me :)

Maybe not! My dad always let us paint his nails. And at Christmas my DH put on my daughter's "princess jewelry". PICTURE WORHTY!
Girls are fun we just wanted the boy first so it would be ike the older brother taking care of the younger sister, but its all ok, we are just happy that she is healthy and can't wait to see her!!! I'm sure we will have fun playing dress up and doing male up, poor DH will probably feel left out..lol
Oh girls are so much fun, Britany! We play dress-up and dolls and they have way cuter clothes than boys. I got my little girls' ears pierced and for Valentine's Day I was out buying them new earrings! Really, girls are fun!!!
Glad to hear you'll be home soon! My BIL is in California, but I don't know if they're all there for the same thing. He's actually a citizen now, working for the gov't. But he used to be in the Air Force.

Girls are awesome!!! I have 1 boy and 4 girls. They are so much fun and want to be little imitations of you. They are amazed when you blow dry your hair or put make up on. My 3 year old (3 today actually) looks at me and says, "Wow Mom, pretty". It is so sweet. You could be the most unattractive person on the planet and they would think you were pretty anyway. It is just the sweetest thing in the whole world. They are my heart. You and your husband will just melt when you see her for the first time. It is the best example of unconditional love you will ever witness. Now when they are teenager, that is a whole other story!! LOL!

I completely agrre girl. We hold the same hate inside. yea what two or three militaary members did, shouldn't have been done and was wrong but they act like a japanese man has never done something liek that or similar to it before. they are hypacrits (sp?) but they will realize soon enough that they need us, because their economy is already getting worse and the price of what yen is worth is already going up litlle by little because they are bringing in no cash flow from us. But what stuns me is they want our money to support their families but nine of them have the balls to stand up to their government and say leave the military alone, we need them to survive. Instead they stand outside our gates telling us to leave because they hate us but yet when we do leave, how will they then support their families and put food on the table. We employ their peopl on our bases to give them jobs and we spend our paychecks putting money into their economy..but yet they hate us. it is dispicable and i am so ticked right now , whooo , i'm not sure if me gettign this ticked is good for the baby but the frie is burning now and I just can't wait to come back to the states. As much as I wanted to leave the states to see other countries, i have come to be grateful for what we hae in America and for the type of government we have in America because I couldn't survuve if i was forced to live in a country that operates how this one does!!!
It sucks being locked down to base. Especially when the japenese get into such a big tiff over ****. They act as though they never do anythign wrong themselves. PULEESE. I spent 3 years dealing with the looks and **** they give. That ought to count themselves lucky that we gave them the d@mn island back to begin with. Do I sound bitter? That's what 3 years in a foreign land where they hate you will do to ya.
What slays me though is that they say they hate americans so much, yet all their women are doing everything they can to marry american military members for their free ride to the us and citizenship.

I'M HERE!! lol, yes I am still in Okinawa unfortunately..locked down to base and can't go anywhere!!!! Luckily the hospital is on base or I would be screwed!!!lol.. ohh yea and i am having a girl...the boy baby dust skipped right over me...but i will be in the states about March 15th, so luckily i won't be locked down too much longer!! Even if you are a japanese national and married to a military member, you are locked down as well, and they are in their own country, its horrible!! Who knows how long this will last! the secretary of the states is coming through Tokyo this week to try to come to terms with the Japanese Government. They want our Genereal relieved and they are talking of kicking us off Japan, because they technically own the land we are on right now. If that happens it will be horrible fo rhte U.S government because then we have no way to project military power on this side of the world because the babses on Guam aren't ready yet! We have only been locked down for 48 hours but the Japanese economy is suffering horribly! The economy in Okinawa is already bad but they said this morning on the talk show that several places i.e. restaraunts and bars, places liek that, didn't recieve any customers. the way the economy is over here, it is a cahs business, and when they don't get business, they close their doors. Basically they are suffering by requesting that we be locked down. Hopefully it will all end soon!!!! But i wil lbe in NC soon enough ladies! I will finally get to set up a huse for my baby, and just to let you all know my husband is still going to California, but we are fine and will make it work! thanis for caring about me!!!!
I talked to her last week and she said that she was just getting ready to head back to the states, but not for another 2-3 weeks. I'll send her a PM. Hope she's ok!!
If they're on lockdown maybe they locked down Internet too?! OMG! That is awful!!!!!!!!!!! I hope she is doing okay?!
