Broke, Newly single, and afraid I'm pregnant. need advice on situation!

hello. I've never done something like this before but I'm not quite sure who to talk to. I'm 21 years old, and I dated someone for about a year, but we recently broke up and I moved away to portland. it's been about a month since I moved here and I haven't started my period. I'm very scared. I'm in a huge city with no family or freinds and the possibility of this didn't really cross my mind. I was pregnant in may, with the same guy. I had a miscarriage. I feel nearly the same way I did then, slightly tender breasts, slight cramps, small headaches. and for some reason I just feel like I am. I don't really know what to do at this point. I just got a job at a sandwich shop here, and I'm thinking about working here for a few months and then going back home where I have family and friends. is this what I should do? I considered getting an abortion. I haven't said anything to anyone except for the room mate I have here in portland, because it's something that can effect them. I don't know how my ex will react if I am. does anyone have any advice?

A good start is by taking a test. I would do that asap. Who knows, sometimes stress can cause you to miss your period. That will take some weight off if you know for sure if you are or aren't. The 99¢ store sells them I've heard so that way you don't have to spend a lot on a test

One group I do know of in the Portland area, is Catholic Charities.  They were founded to help young women who are pregnant, many years ago.  Despite being Catholic, they do not lecture about being pregnant and unmarried, and they would be certain to know all the places you can go for help, advice and support.

If you mean Portland, Oregon, it's a pretty nice town and has some social agencies that you might ask for advice and help if you do turn up positive on the pregnancy test.  Get a few Dollar Store tests and take them with first-morning urine, and if they are negative just go ahead with your life.  If positive, you have some thinking to do, but don't jump to any conclusions until you know what you are facing.

Well take a test and find out for sure if you are pregnant. You did just move and have a lot of stress on you so that could contribute to missing ur period. But w. E. I decision you make do it because it's best for u.
