uncomfortable and starting to get miserable

i'm starting to get to the point in my pregnancy (i'm almost.....10 weeks i do believe the doc said) where i'm soooooo incredibly uncomfortable. no matter what i do, sit, stand, lay down i'm just so miserably uncomfortable. my headaches are frequent and irritating, i'm so grumpy after my naps (especially if someone wakes me up) and my belly (which is definately getting bigger and bigger everyday) is in the way of EVERYTHING!!!! which sucks cause if it were one baby i probably wouldn't have my belly yet (which i'm so happy the twins are doing great....even if they make me sick to my stomache 6.5 days out of 7) and that is what makes me so uncomfortable. i'm not used to having such a large belly. (large for me)

so the question is....is there ANYWAY i can make myself comfortable? does anyone have any secrets or tricks that worked for them?

oh i've got the pudge. i hate it. i'm not tall i'm only 5'4 but i've always been lean and fit. active in sports and what not and until last month i coached swimming. but now i'm lucky if i have energy to go pee. eating is such a chore. anything that's meat makes me just have to yak. the uncomfortable is just.....getting so blah! the only time i was comfy today was when i took a nice hot shower. the belly (or babies) really seemed to like that. i just wish our hot tub's motor wasn't broke or i'd be sitting in there 24/7.

I'm 16 weeks with my second and my belly popped out about 5 weeks in and only getting bigger by the day. I remember with my first baby I didn't feel that until about 5 months, but I've been feeling that for about 5 weeks now. Someone else mentioned this, but try eating smaller meals, but just more of them. I was trying to eat like I did prior to being pregnant and found myself with much discontent. I cut back the amount I eat at one sitting and that has helped. Also, I was having problems sleeping. I would sleep for about 3 hours and then toss and turn and listen to my husband sleep next to me. When I started having better days or even times within the day when you're feeling okay(from the morning sickness) try taking 5-10 minute walks. That helped me to have more restful sleep. As far as the belly, I know wxactly what you're talking about. I have always been tall and thin and for me to have what appeared to be "fat" was so gross to me. It eventually gets better. Your stomach will start to take shape as a pregnant body and not in that in between stage. Once you see the belly tighten and feel those first kicks you will be amazed at the feeling within you. I'm in that period where I have a lot of pudge or what looks like fat around my sides still and it hasn't bothered me at all this go around. I know great things are yet to come and all the vomitting, being uncomfortable and sleepless nights are worth it!

yeah it's only 10 weeks. when they did the u/s last week the doc said they looked to be around 8-9 weeks and that they were healthy. women in my family (on my mothers side) tend to.....get big fast. and my mother had complications in 2 pregnancies which ended in m/c's. my doc also said that with how "sick" i am (i have heart issues and a really bad immune system from being jaundiced as a baby) that my body would be more "run down" then normal. which i was prepared for. i knew all the risks of what could happen if i became pregnant. i just wasn't prepared for the uncomfortableness and would LOVE to know a way to be comfy.....lol.

Hi!
Are you sure it is only week 10?  Sounds like more.  Anyway, you could try eating smaller portions of food more ofter during the day to combate the sickness.  It's what I have been trying.  I also found some motion-sickness armband to be helpful.
As for the moodswings...hormones are just a part of the pregnancy. And remember...you have two in there!
