Thanks for this post. Good to know. I say let nature take it's course.
I know it, my sister took castor oil while pregnant, and it shot her son into the birth canal too quickly, he ended up with the cord wrapped around his neck 4 times, and purple and not breathing when he came out, definitely not safe!
Not just too common, it also backfires on a lot of women. It doesn't always work, but knowing that it is dangerous for the baby when ingesting it I would definitely steer clear of castor oil while pregnant.
I'm so glad you posted this, it's become a way too common labor inducer!
I plan on doing evening primrose oil!! I am also doing "Red Raspberry Leaf" capsules to help tone up my uterus
yeah i heard that too. thats why i havent used it causr i dont want my baby to have a bowel movent. im really trying to just have the attitude of only two more weeks and bouncin on an exercise ball to help things and doing evening primrose oil
My mom told me it makes the baby poop in the womb
That or possibly the fact that it's in the laxative family it can also cause mochonium (Spelling?) in the baby's sac which can be dangerous to the baby at times if not taken care of after birth. I know they recommend not to take certain laxatives
i know they say it can cause dehydration because its a laxitivei wonder if that is why
I am wondering how it's harmful to the fetus besides the fact that it could cause preterm labor..It has been around for years and midwives use it to induce labor for natural reasons…but being on the X category I don't think I will ever be using that route knowing that it is on the X category regardless if I am trying to induce my labor..I'll stick to the herbal ways
It just says that Studies show a significant risk to women and the fetus, I was very shocked to find this out!!!
wow thats crazy cause so many people use it. thank you for putting that on here. does it say why it harms the baby?
Castor oil is x wow...so many ladies on here talk about using it to induce labor I never have but I'm glad u put that on here.
