I have 3 cats a 3 year old and 2 11 week kittens. Not all cats carry toxoplasmosis. they say cats that eat raw meat or mice and other small rodents contract it. You can have your cats tested at vet to see if they are carriers. I rescued my oldest cat back in january i was in my first trimester, BD said he would clean her box, he never does. I got scoopable litter i scoop it out into a bag throw it away and wash hands really good. I got the kittens when they were 8 weeks old. I am almost 28 weeks and Brantley is healthy...so i would say as long as ur careful go ahead and do it. also they say if u already had the virus u cant contract it again.
Omg mablemouse do u walk your cat on a lease? Thats soo cool I think that is really neat haha my cats are to fat minus one but they stay upstairs mostly bc thats where the food is at lol
My cat doesn't have a litter box, he goes outside, so I haven't had that problem. Do you think you might be able to train the cat to go outside?
My mom cleans it but we have 4 furry babies I hold them and I play with them but I try to wait awhile after they have used to cat box to play with some one if like really old and the other one has short limbs lol so I get my hubby to clean their paws so I can play with them but my doc says hold them and have alot of interactions with them so your baby can build up some immunity while being inside your belly bc I guess of the dander idk loln
Yeah your fine just wear gloves and a mask and wash your hands and arms when ur done but if I were you I would lay down the law your the one growing a human inside you he can help out by scooping that's what I told my guy and he hates it but he does it
Okay, I wish I had a self cleaning cat box! I swear he is just too lazy!
My husband does the litter box now. He freaks if i even make a joke about me doing it lol but if ur guy eont do it whatsoever first of all tell him how much of a moron he is and ive heard of women getting does big cleaning cloves and a good mask and doing it themselves. Of course make sure you wash ur hands and your arms just for safety reasons. I know most people would freak but lots of single moms do it and its not much better to let the poo pill up in the litter box either. I would ask ur dr if theres any other precaution u can take. But i think cloves and mask should be it
You can do that and then make sure you wash up really good after or make him do it! My hubby did ours with my first pregnancy but wasn't the best at remembering so I would have to put gloves on and mask sometimes so I could scoop litter!
