with my last pregnancy i had them a lot :( and now i have had a couple close calls just last night where i caught it before it happend but am very nervous about getting them again! they are aweful!! i remember once i was napping and went to get up to get the phone and i had one in each leg! i didnt know if i was gonna get up!
I get those alot....what usually helps me is to eat a banana before bed or pickle juice. (always helped me in sports) lol. But when you do get them don't massage it try to relax and flex you're foot. :)
I used to get them so bad in both legs that I could hardly walk the next couple days, then finally it wouldn't hurt and I would get them again! I started eating a banana a day and it helped so much! I didn't get them for weeks & I stopped eating the bananas and what do you know, last night I had two! I hear it's very common in pregnancy.
I gotten them with all four of my pregnancies!! It's awful.:-( then your leg is sore for days after!! I also try to stretch, drink plenty of water and eat lots of bananas!!! But most of the time, yes they are unavoidable!!
I've experienced it a couple of times n my calf muscle was so sore the nxt day but drink water n eat some bananas
Leg cramps are awful! I had one while i was sleeping a few days ago and i woke up and started crying and made my fiance get up and rub my calf, my calf still hurts. I knew leg cramps were common in pregnancy, so i stretch my calfs muscles, and try to stay hydrated but sometimes you just can not avoid them.
Drinking plenty of water, walking, and stretching your calves should help some. Also, try to eat more foods with potassium.
Im glad I'm not alone! I just hate it
Omg!! Thought I was the only one feeling like this! I woke up in tears the other night! & it hurts to rub it & it still is bothering me its been about 4 days.
It is very common in pregnancy, unfortunately. I try to stay hydrated and active - seems to help keep their frequency low for me.
