Am i pregnant or not?

me & my husband follow the safe method of contraception.we had been doing this for the past 1 yr.have been comfortable with it.my cycle length varies from 30 to35 days .my last menstrual period was on 21st dec.2008.we had intercourse on 19th day of the cycle. today is my 38th day.pregnancy test is negative.i had symptoms of ovulation on the15/16th day of the cycle.so now ,what to do.

I didn't mean completely safe, but I meants as safe as you can be using that method.

Ovulation can be delayed for lots of reasons.  Even with symptoms on day 15/16, with cycles that can last 35 days and be normal for you I would be very leary about intercourse on day 19.  I would be avoidong it from day 11 until day 23 to be completely safe.  I wish you luck with whatever happens, and you can always call your Dr. if AF hasn't come in a week or 2 and you are still testing negative.
