Cloth diapers!

Just bought a set of super cute cloth diapers, I'm a single mom looking to save money any way I can so when I heard that parents spend around 60$ a month for diapers I started considering cloth diapers. I spent 80$ on a set that is supposed to last 8-12 months. Have any of you tried them before or plan to use them and what are your thoughts??

Ok
1. If you will never sirens more in water abd laundry det than you will on diapers.
2. If you are using cloth diapers babies dont grow out of them. (I buy my cloth material from the amish and make my diapers. They are made 1yrd (that's 3 ft) they fit up to toddler. My husband and all his family were cloth diapered the same old fashioned way.
3. If you want to do modern cloth diapering. Go on amazon and buy something like Alva Baby cloth diapering system. You buy enough for about two days (i keep about 36 diapers on hand) and wash them every other day. You will still save a heck of a lot more money than buying diapers all the time.
4. With cloth diapers you don't have to worry about baby's bum breaking out from disposables. My babies have very sensitive skin.
5. You are helping environment and trash.
I saved around $60 a month the first year cloth diapering my first child. Thats including the little extra but in water and det.
:-) hope this helps I love cloth diapering. If you need help or have any questions feel free to msg me :-) good luck!

My parents tried them with my brother but he kept growing too quickly and they got tired of doing laundry so often and switched to disposable. I wanted to use cloth diapers but since my parents will be babysitting during the day they told me I couldn't because they didn't want to deal with them lol. Some people love them and I'm sure they're a lot better now than they were when my brother was a baby (18 years ago). If you do decide to switch to disposables check out "diapers .com" they always have deals and you buy I'm bulk. You can get like 256 for $35 I believe it was, you can also buy cloth on there but I'm not sure what the prices are compared to others. Good luck!

I'm going to use cloth diapers. It works if you have enough. I've been accumulating mine second hand as I go through my pregnancy.

For me it will work out WAY cheaper since my husband and I are missionaries in Africa and diapers there are scarce and super expensive in our area.

My mother and law told me about them when she used them with my husband. She said she wasn't able to  continue with them cause he'd go through them way to fast. Also unless you have time you'll be washing them alot so you make up in price with a water bill :0
