??(Natural VS Medicated) Vaginal Birth??

What are your opinions on natural birth and do you think I'm doing the right thing by choosing to refuse all medications during labor and delivery? I understand that there can always be issues that need medicine I'm not refusing that just the unneeded drugs before hand.

Im going all natural as well and I suggest if you have any worries you should look up Ina May Gaskin and listen to her speak she's a midwife and her speeches made me feel a lot better after my family said I couldn't do it. She's very knowledgeable On going all natural. And I loved her speach about fear of giving birth.

You should try a natural birth I did it n I'm 17
I'm honestly proud of myself for choosing to have this beautiful experience at its fullest! Throught the good & bad. I think it's kind of sad how our world has changed so much & women chose to take this experience away form themeselves!
I had a second degree tear it wasn't as bad as I though it would be it wasn't painful after just felt very sore down there making it a bit of a struggle to sit down, lay down, & to get up. I don't think there is a way to prevent it from happening if there was I wish someone would have told me Lol.

I had an amazing med-free delivery with my first and can't wait to do it again. Nine pounds and not a single stitch. My midwife was so supportive and my husband was just in awe of how strong I proved myself to be :-) it was worth every minute of the 21 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing. It was wonderful. I didn't even have an IV placed, didn't need it.

I had an epidural twice with both my boys, and it was awesome . just depends on you, I think as long as the baby gets here healthy and happy that the way it is delivered doesn't matter... And I have no problems with chronic back pain

Im 24 had my baby at 21 and had no medication what so ever.  As soon as I had snuggles I was able to Walk around and shower which I believe with an epidural you can't and they have to pull the catheter out and you have to wait for the numbing to wear off?  All women KNOW labor is going to be painful!! Yet they decide to take the easy way out and have an epidural.

I had an epidural and it was amazing! My labor and delivery went super smooth. I don't have any back issues from it. I waited until I was 6 cm dialated and I was in a lot of pain when I got it. I could have kept going, but I was shaky and near tears from pain. After it kicked in I felt amazing and was able to relax. I requested not to have a cathider with it and only needed it for 2 hours before I gave birth. It does numb you, but you still feel pressure so you can push. For me, I will always use an epidural, just don't get it too soon.

Natural is best! I did it with no pain medication and I wouldn't have changed it she was 8 lb. 9 oz. And I did all natural no ripping or tearing. I recommend all women try to do it with out meds!!

I'm planning on doing a natural birth with no meds. I think it's the best and healthiest option. Every woman I know that has had an epidural has chronic back pain and it doesn't even completely numb you so I don't see what the point of getting one is. There are too many risks to me. Womens bodies are made to carry babies and give birth naturally. I understand there are complications sometimes so I'm not gonna knock any woman for doing what's best for her, but for me natural birth is the only way to go.
