Contractions but not in labor? Anyone else? :(

I was having contractions this morning. They started at 6 & were 4 minutes apart so I went to the hospital.
Well they told me that I was indead having contractions. But when they checked my cervix they said I was open but not dilated enough to be admitted into the hospital so they send me home.
Well I'm still having contractions, slightly stronger then the ones I had before I feel like I have a fever & my head is hurting.
I don't know what to do to help get things going or ease the pain it's been 10 hours of constant contractions :(
My due date is on Monday.
Is anyone else going throught the same thing or has gone through this before?
I'm a ftm I had no idea it was even possible to be in this kind of pain & not be in labor!

Are the contractions closer together? Maybe call your doctor and ask him what he wants you to do. He could tell the hospital they have to admit you
