Yes that is contractions. Most people aren't told that most contractions start in the back then move to the front. Time them for how long they are lastin and how far apart they are. Once they start coming ever 5-7 minutes call labor and delivery then most likely go into the hospital. Unless you are 36 weeks or less then if it's more then 5 in an hour you should go in
