this is ng 3rd pregnancy I dnt normally hear a heartbeat untill 12-13 wks because my uterus is tilted backwards and kinda hides the baby, so this time I asked that the they not even try till my 12wk apt because even tho I know its normal for me it still scary. Im sure everything is perfect with ur lil one :)
Thanks ladies! I know everything is probably fine....its just hard not to worry. Plus we're waiting to tell my 9 year old son until we either HEAR or SEE something so Im getting antsy lol....I've had the shirt that says "Im gonna be a big brother" for weeks and we still can't give it to him!!! He's going to be sooooo excited!!!! :)
My dr only found the heartbeat for a sec at 10 wk apt and then i coughed and she couldnt find it again, she wasnt concerned at all she said its like looking for a needle in a haystack. At my next apt 14 wks she found it right away
I'm in Canada too, so I know how you feel. My dr didn't find the HB til 12 or 13 weeks with a doppler.
I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and seen the heartbeat...my dr couldnt get a heart beat on a dopplar untill 13 weeks. Im now 30 weeks with a heathly baby boy. I wouldnt worry if the dr isnt worried. Just express your feeling to your dr they are there to help you. Im sure everything is fine. In the beginning of my pregnancy I was constantly worried about miscarriage and my dr told me in heathly women 95% of women will go on to have heathly babies! Good luck!
at 8 weeks with my first they found it right away. With this one, as t 12 weeks they still couldn't hear it they had to do an US to confirm baby still had a heart beat. But they said I had too much scar tissue from my c section
I saw the heartbeat at six weeks and heard it at eight weeks....but I think since your doctor isn't alarmed you shouldn't be either...it just may take a while.
Nope. In Canada we don't have u/s machines in drs offices. So my appointment isn't until July 26. Doc didnt seem worried but i sure am!!!
Or did you not have an ultrasound? If not, no its not bad to not hear it yet. I couldn't till 16 weeks personally.
Hearing isn't as important, did you SEE the heartbeat.
