castor oil!!

What's your opinion on castor oil?? Do any of you have any experiences with it when trying to induce labor?

I just took some at 330pm. Waiting for something to happen. I'm 38 weeks almost 39. Ready to get this baby out!

My Dr advised against it.. he said it brings on contractions but doesn't necessarily mean your cervix will open which can mean c-section... just inform your Dr and good luck!

I took it at 38 weeks with my last  pregnancy and it didn't work . I was a week over due and had to be induced.

Since it is a laxative and since baby absorbs a lot of what tou consume, it can cause baby to poop while still in you and baby can breathe it in. I know I read that was a huge concern with this method. Other than that I've only met 1 mom it ever worked on. If your body isn't already almost there it won't work anyways and may just give you the poops.

Talk to ur Dr first because it can cause delivery header for u an baby because it don'ta lways work

I was about to take it today and doc had me go to the hospital for emergency c section  but I'm all for the castor oil if he wasnt coming today I'm 39 weeks and 4 days

Its too late to take it back now. I would call your doctor and let them know you took it just in case something goes wrong they are prepared.
