Cycles after Miscarriage

Hi. I just wanted to get some information from anyone who feels like sharing. I was wondering what your cycles were like after having a miscarriage and please let me know whether or not you had a natural m/c or had to have a d&c. I had to have a d&c at the end of november. Got my period back after six weeks and now it has been five and a half weeks with no AF and negative hpt's. I usually have a 28 day cycle and have read at various places on the internet that once you get a period after the miscarriage it should be pretty regular relatively quickly. I am pretty sure ovulation was delayed this month maybe almost to the fourth week - is it possible??? Any experiences would help greatly, thanks so much in advance!

Thanks for all your info, I guess for now i will just continue to wait it out and see what happens. If no AF by friday I will call the doc just to make sure they don't want to see me or anything. Thanks thanks thanks!!!

hi, i had a natural miscarriage a few years back. i don't remember when i got my first period after that. i can tell you though, that ever since my m/c my periods have not been the same. also, i was on Ortho Tri Cyclen before i got pregnant. After my m/c I had to switch birth control pills b/c the hormones in those were too strong for my body and made me bleed constantly. My doc then put me on the bc pill Alyssa ( i think that's what it was called). It regulated me but then i decided to get off of it. After getting off that pill my periods went back to being irregular. The doc said that after births, miscarriages and other experiences that cause big changes on the body, some womens' hormones are never the same. For the past 2 or 3 months my periods have finally been pretty regular. I think it has helped that I have started taking vitamins. Can't prove it a fact though.

i had a m/c in july 07. it was natural. 4 weeks later, i had my period got pg after that had another m/c . ive had only two periods since oct. 07 they are happening 6  1/2 weeks apart and im now on day 34. i hope they get back to normal . im not sure when im ovulating. i dont know if there late or just coming atfer ovulation. does anyone know this?

I had a natural mc on Dec 4 07 and it then took me 6 weeks 1 day to get my period.  I am currently ttc again and this month it is now day 37.  I think i usually have a longer cycle around 37 days but am not 100% as i am normally on the pill until i want to get pregnant and then i have only had one month before i have got pregnant the last two times.  I am now waiting to test but have to wait 4 more days as i ovulate very late (day 26) and am only now 11 dpo.  Hope this helps and good luck

I don't think I can be of much help. It took me 8 weeks (52 days) to get my first period. Then I got pregnant but didn't get a FAINT FAINT FAINT BFP until CD41 (so you can see my cycles were still long).

It can take some women 6-12 months to get back in shape after a m/c. Some women take less time! Hopefully that will happen for you!!!
